I’ve been trying to learn to sketch faces. I’ve started with the most rudimentary tutorials. Draw a circle, extend the jawline, mark the sections, etc.

But then I can’t help myself.

A face takes shape and the thoughts follow.

They stream from pen to page and the lines hypnotically transfix hyperfocus highlight colors weave before and behind.

Try not to overthink it.

It’s just lines on a page. Markers and colors.
